I had seen this picture on a couple of food blogs but hadn’t really taken in its true brilliance until M said there was a piece about it on the news and I thought I'd better investigate further. Basically West Country Farmhouse Cheesemakers have launched a “cheese cam” called cheddarvision.tv where you can watch one of their fine cheeses mature. And a lot of visitors (well over a quarter of a million so far) have popped by to see the cheese ‘in action’. It really is the maddest site! You can tune the TV to other cheesy channels and if inspired by the delicious cheese aging before your very eyes, you can click on the ‘red button’ and purchase. Well, what will they think of next? 
Well done to the West Country Farmhouse Cheesemakers for coming up with such an inspired marketing ploy, it’s pure genius and I hope they sell a lot of cheese on the back of it!
